Buick Lucerne

A front engine, front drive five-to-six-sear traditional sedan. Lucerne’s main competitors are given as the Toyota Avalon XLS and Lexus ES330. To which critics argue that there is nothing like setting high targets. A choice of two engines – a 3.8 V6 and a 4.6 liter V8 – is offered, both with four speed automatic transmissions. That there is no manual option suggests this is a cruiser not a bruiser. Accordingly the suspension is on the soft side of Dunlopillo mattress settings, with an appropriate driving experience. Buick’s rationale is that the Lucerne provides “elegant designs, premium interiors and exceptional levels of power, comfort, quietness and quality.” Somehow we cannot see Tiger Woods jumping into Lucerne to blast away the worries of the day. But we may be wrong.
